This design encapsulates the essence of Singapore’s iconic HDB flats—a testament to our nation’s remarkable journey since independence. With over 1 million flats housing more than 80% of the resident population, and about 90% of them owning their homes, HDB flats have become synonymous with the Singaporean dream. 

From their inception in the 1960s, when the Housing & Development Board (HDB) was established to tackle a severe housing shortage, these flats have evolved from basic, functional designs to diverse architectural styles that give each town its unique identity.  They stand as pillars of our community, offering not just shelter but spaces where dreams are nurtured, families are raised, and memories are forged.

This design is more than a visual representation; it’s a heartfelt homage to our nation’s ambition and progress. It reflects our collective journey toward modernity while honoring the rich tapestry of our heritage and culture.
