A 10-Year Design Journey Rooted in Singapore's Soul
For over a decade, Onlewo has carved a quiet yet distinctive presence in Singapore's design landscape. Founded by Singaporean designer Mike Tay, Onlewo transforms the familiar language of Singapore's heritage, culture and everyday life into contemporary patterns and design.
What began with a curiosity about storytelling through prints has evolved into a diverse collection of home, fashion and lifestyle pieces - from fine fabrics and porcelain ware to wallpaper, cement tiles, scarves and gifts. Each design draws from the places, textures, flora, architecture and cultural details that make Singapore unique, reinterpreted through a refined and contemporary lens.
At the heart of Onlewo is the belief that design can connect people with places and memories. Through pattern, colour and storytelling, we seek to make the familiar feel fresh again - enlivening conversations and inspiring new connections with Singapore and Asia.
Design That Tells a Story
Over the years, Onlewo's work has led to collaborations with esteemed international names including Patek Philippe, Moët Hennessy, Cartier, Bvlgari, Shell and BlackRock, as well as leading Singapore institutions such as GIC, SGX, SingHealth and UOB.
These collaborations reflect the versatility of Onlewo's design language and the enduring appeal of stories rooted in place, culture and identity.
