Ikat textile charms many far and wide with the dyeing technique originated from Indonesia. My first piece of Ikat came from a holiday trip to Bali, which for many years was hung above my bed as a memory of my holiday. The inspiration for this pattern came from the stems of ginger plants found in Botanic Garden that resembled my ikat fabric.
