Singapore Tourism Board Showcases Peranakan Culture In Chengdu With Onlewo

Onlewo is honored to be part of the Peranakan Culture showcase in Chengdu, China. The one-month exhibition organised by the Singapore Tourism Board is to introduce this unique aspect of Singapore’s vibrant blend of cultures to friends and audience in China. The show opens with a gala dinner and a Peranakan fashion show. Onlewo’s range of modern Peranakan-inspired print designs went onto the fashion runway in the form of 2 modern ladies wear and 2 menswear. Our bag collaboration with Ling Wu also made the runway appearance.

The exhibition showcases Onlewo’s wide range of home and fashion products, including Lamps in Peranakan Story design, ottoman in Peranakan Bliss design, silk scarfs and cushion covers in various Peranakan prints. Even our teddy bear in Peranakan Floral Tile design is presented at the show!

Onlewo is grateful to the Singapore Tourism Board and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chengdu for their kind invitation to participate in this exhibition to foster closer friendship between China and Singapore. They gave us very kind support and hosting during our trip. We are very proud of how much these lean team of Singapore officials have achieved and got to witness first-hand their talents and high-quality works in overseas missions. It is an amazing experience!
